5 states election result

The defeat of the BJP in all the five states in the recent election may be shocking to the BJP ,but not to the voters of these states. All the sections of the voters with variety of grievances  shown their  anger and decided to vote against BJP.  In the  2014 parliamentary election, corruption and policy paralysis voted out the Congress party . Now, the nation is disappointed with the huge gap between promises and performance, especially in the economic front, because of their disastrous economic policies. The other dominant reasons  are,  the insecurity created in the minds of minorities, the untold miseries suffered by small  enterprises and the poor and middle class due to demonetisation , tax terrorism caused by the imperfect GST structure , the oil prices affecting every house hold , the anger of the youth on jobless growth,  the helpless and frustrating situation of the agriculturists , the non recognition of the  basic  needs of the Dalits and Tribal’s , the hate speeches  expressed towards Muslims and tolerated by the leaders , the hatred towards intellectuals and resulting  in their murders  , severe attack on freedom of expression,  the branding of the social activists as anti nationals and urban Naxals when, they  try to expose corporate conflicts with environment  , the polarising efforts to create disharmony among communities and the meddling with the independence of CBI,  RBI etc., and the attempts to safronise  every social and cultural institutions through selection of persons for  top posts based on their ideology and not on their merits .  Mainly , PM, Mode is looked upon  as  the  PM  for the billionaire corporate giants   . The election results should not be misunderstood as  a strong signal that would guarantee an unconditional mandate  to the  Congress Party to rule the nation  in 2019. They have to take lot of efforts at the ground level and remove conflicts between factions within the state units of the congress party. Delicate balancing act has to be exercised by Ragul Ghandhi to prevent clashes between junior and senior leaders .    The present poll  verdict  reflect only the collective anger of the disappointed electorate of India and not overwhelming support for the Congress  party  .  This is the beauty of a functioning democracy .
