It iwas  very scary to witness  the situation in the banks and before ATMs on December first week since, the salary receivers, the pensioners, small traders  and those who have exhausted the earlier drawn money had  queued up again . When will the government realise that, people are not interested in listening the endless rhetoric of the spokes persons of the BJP or the ministers and bureaucrats delivered through news channels about "long term gains and short term pains  since , they are totally cut off from the ground realities  or perhaps they are not subjected to any hardships , because of their privileged positions .

The RBI Governor who is the head of the money regulating body is totally silent and avoid explaining to the people , the reasons for the logistic failure in the smooth supply and distribution of cash which is the life blood of all the economic activities in India unlike the developed nations. He should list out the emergency measures which the RBI is going to introduce to meet the crisis situation , so that, some confidence  can be instilled in peoples mind . If he doesn’t have any such measures he should accept moral responsibility to the chaotic situation created, after the so called “surgical strike” and his failure to make perfect  arrangements  for the “post surgery” emergency situations and resign immediately . If he has not been consulted by the Chief executive of this nation in this major monetary operation in the name of secrecy , then that is yet another apt reason  for him to resign. Now we understand why Raguram Rajan gave up his post.  India can not be converted into a cashless economy and digital economy over night  through a revolutionary methods . Evolutionary methods only will work out in a nation which is dominated by illiteracy and  poverty . History has taught us many lessons about the consequences of revolutionary methods .

Among all the ill effects of this clumsy demonetisation measure, the most serious one is the loss of trust on the banking system . People who mingle with common people and work at grassroots level  know, to what extent the account holders are  irritated with restrictions on banking operations , the rationing in drawing their own money deposited with the banks with total trust , the non availability of their hard earned savings for the emergency and vital big expenses . Hereafter , people will think several times before putting all their savings in the bank deposits of various types because , The RBI is going on giving new instructions everyday . what is still in store for the honest tax payers and savers we do not know. People will  start keeping  hard cash of smaller denominations at home and adopt highest safety tools and methods . The increasing complaints about the bank employees harsh treatment of those standing in the queue and preferential treatment given to influential customers  and their dishonest activities of few black sheep in bank dealings has destroyed the credibility of the banking system . This is going to affect the economy in many ways.

My friend was always complaining about her professionally qualified, and employed daughter’s lack of interest in learning basics of cooking. She often used to worry how she will manage her home affairs if she doesn’t even know basics of cooking, especially when it is traditionally believed in India that the way to the man’s heart is through the stomach. The daughter always used to pacify her saying that cooking is not a big deal and cookery books would come to her aid. As my friend feared, her daughter had to go abroad with her husband immediately after marriage. So, the mother packed carefully chosen cookery books and told her daughter that, through emails and phone calls, she can get the required recipes and clear her further doubts while preparing them   But there was no need since, the U Tube has become her efficient teacher in offering cooking    guidance since, all types of recipes vegetarian and non vegetarian and Indian and non Indian food verities are taught   step by step with live demonstrations. Hence she has learnt fast the techniques of cooking and even tries new recipes everyday which turns out very well.  She further surprised her mother by saying that  they have  now started inviting friends on weekends for lunch or dinner since she has become expert in making even cakes  and deserts. The mother is now free from her worry and tells other mothers with unmarried daughters that cooking is not a big deal any more because of the Google Teacher.

 When a relative’s daughter settled in USA and decided to have the delivery of the child there, her family was very worried, because of their inability to be with her during that time. The worry about the daughter’s plight during and after child birth grew day by day. They could only give instructions regarding self management and were praying for safe child birth and post natal care.  The grand mother was going on giving instructions regarding when to give drinking water to the child, how to give head bath, when to start semi liquid food etc., and about home remedies for illnesses the baby is likely to develop during the process of growth. They even gave instructions regarding the diet of the lactating mother. The daughter listened to everything but followed none. She started strictly following the child specialist’s instructions and clarified her doubts through young mothers on line forums .Any information related to the child was obtained from the Google Teacher.  The grandmother was nagging her grand daughter to give drinking water to the baby at regular intervals and was heart broken when the grand daughter told her firmly that she will give that to her baby only from 5th month since the child specialist says so and Google search confirms it.

My School going niece was given a project by the teacher .Her mother was worried regarding the products needed, sources to procure them and about the project design. The Google teacher gave all the information needed within 15 minutes.

The college teachers who had to present papers in the seminars and doing their doctoral research work a decade back had to become members of few libraries,   visit them to borrow books and spend considerable time in the library to refer journals and books and zerox the required pages. For secondary data collection on any government schemes, targets and achievements, government’s permission from the concerned dept was required which was usually given after a month.  With this permission the researchers had to visit various departments connected with their research project, wait endlessly to see the officer concerned and have access to the published secondary data. Now how easy the whole procedure has become?  Every government department data is published on line, thus saving considerable time, energy and money. Thanks to the Google teacher’s assistance research work has become less tedious.

 Few months back, my neighbor’s daughter’s marriage was fixed. She is not used to saris. Hence, they had decided to engage the service of a beauty parlor to dress her up in different styles of wearing the saris for different marriage ceremonies. But, the bride’s friends said there is no need to engage a parlor to do this task since, they can very easily manage all types of styles by following U Tube instructions and demonstrations. So much of money was thus saved.

Earlier the parents used to take their children to the book exhibitions regularly to buy those dictionaries, maps, tables, general knowledge books, thesaurus, idiom and grammar books, story books and novels. Every child in every educated family was constantly advised to use Wren and Martin and Oxford dictionary. Now the Google teacher has replaced the use of all these books since every information stored in these books are available online saving money and storage space 

Ask any youngster of today whether they had read that day’s news paper. They will look at you with a puzzled look on their face and ask what is the need for it  when, they get the daily news and breaking news through TV, smart phone, tablets etc., during any time of the day? They think, newspaper reading is the past time of 60+ people  

Even within families, the earning younger members of the family do not seek advice from parents or elders regarding their investment or real estate or tour or marriage alliance matters since, all the required information on these matters are available in the various websites and decisions on these matters are taken after thorough analysis of the Google information and even doubts are clarified through expert’s online assistance. So much of money we would have spent on consultants is saved By the Google consultant.

 The doctors are the most tortured category by the Google generation. If a patient is diagnosed with decease, immediately an intensive internet search is made about everything related to it, the cause, the nature, the harm and the formulas of the medicines prescribed and the side effects of them. And in the next visit the doctor will be flooded with so many questions based on the Google teacher’s information. Most of their information is obtained from UN authenticated articles, yet the flood the doctors with their half baked knowledge on medical matters. If a surgery is suggested, the research becomes very intensive and even after 3 opinions Google research is made for miracle remedies through alternative medicines or home remedies and this results in endless delay in the performance of the surgery to the detriment of the health of the patient Such faith on the Google teacher even on life matters

The teachers have to become alert all the time since the students are armed with more information through surfing internet on a particular subject taught in the class on a day and they come to the class the next day, ready to flood the teacher with all sorts of doubts. If they don’t get satisfactory answers, they get disappointed with the performance of the teacher. In away, the Google teacher poses a challenge to the ability of the teachers in making a class room atmosphere through a brilliant question and answer sessions. The teachers are now forced to become computer savvy to match with student’s expectations and this process has turned many ordinary teachers into outstanding teachers. In away the Google teacher is helping in enhancing and sustaining the quality of the teachers.

A tourist guide or map is not needed anymore for organising a tour. The Google teacher provides A-Z information and anybody can perfectly plan and finalise a tour programme sitting at home

Thus the Google teacher has introduced Information Revolution and save time, money and energy for every one interested in acquiring more and more knowledge on various matters particularly the younger generation who are thrilled with the knowledge explosion of this century. Of course, what do they do with the saved up energy, time and money is another question that, they alone can answer.

The media is giving extensive coverage of the daily ordeals of the common  people faced after demonetization effected without proper preplanning regarding logistics related to this” surgical strike” on honest citizens , who do not even understand the reasons for the daily changes brought out in withdrawal and exchange of currency through banks and ATMS .Yet the , the spoke persons of the BJP party demonstrate everyday , in TV debates on this subject , their utter insensitivity regarding the sufferings of the people. How can the FM say that , he himself has seen short queues , as if he doesn’t know that,  the reason is shortage of cash  in the banks and ATMS and the confusion created by daily announcements regarding exchange and withdrawals . When rational and genuine questions are raised regarding why such a massive exercise of recalibration of ATMS machines are  attempted, instead of printing the new currencies in the same size as the older ones with new designs and additional security features and why the lower denomination currencies such 20, 50 and 100 were not printed well in advance in huge quantities , proper answers are not given. People have developed a hatred for Rs 2000 notes , because the difficulties they face while handling them . The judges of courts  seem to understand very correctly the ground realities and sympathetic to people’s daily hardships than the government elected by the same people with high hopes.

The attempt of the BJP government to unearth black money through demonetization of the Rs 1000 and Ra 500 has created more  chaos and confusion and untold miseries to the law abiding honest middle and poor class Indians . The whole operation has become so messy due to administrative lapses and logistic failures. Doesn’t the  RBI aware of the quantum of money  that would be exchanged after the declaration ? Didn’t they expect poor and middle class who have no considerable bank balance and depend on their daily or monthly  income  for all types of their family expenses  become panicky and rush for exchanging the available old currency for the new ? They could have closed the ATMs one weeks before this emergency measure under some false pretext and used that time to change the soft ware to suit new currencies and filled up the ATMs with required money for smooth flow of currency . they should have printed new Rs 500 in large quantity and made efficient arrangement to distribute it to all the bank branches in India . Why should this government undertake this massive operation if thay could not make proper preparation before announcing the denonetisation of currencies. Why should I who have my own money in my account , stand for hours together in the queue and go back empty handed when the banks close down their shutters saying the cash s stock is over?. When all the corporates, politicians and other black money holders relax comfortably in AC comfort and watch the sufferings of middle and poor class persons as a big thamasha unfolding through the TV channels ? Does Modi thinks it is only few thousands which the middle class keep at home for emergency and expected big expenses for medical ,marriages. Funeral  and educational fees  is the balck money pralysing the economy?  The authorities had  also failed miserably in ensuring continuous supply of new currencies to the banks and post offices and thus put enormous pressure on the Post office and bank employees.   The net result is, loss  productive hours for those who stood in the Queue,  strain for the senior citizens who could not sign in  their life certificates and draw their pension ,loss of income to the daily wage earners who visited various ATMs , banks and post offices with desperate hope of exchanging meager money to feed their families. Once again this government has proved that this nation is not for the poor to live with dignity . What a  mess in administering this monetary measure to control black money ! It is highly irritating to listen to the BJPs spokes persons ,advising patience to the common people in the name of  nationalism. All of them should be made to run between post offices, ATMs and banks and made to stand for hours together to feel the pain of others, instead of made to sit AC  rooms with boot, suit and tie and give sermon for others. Mr. Jetley should be made to stand in the queue under the sun and in the road for three hours for making cosy and insensitive statements through the TV channels . his statements cause much irritation .An inefficient   government should not have undertaken this serious and major operation if they can not be in full form of preparedness .

Okay, now Modiji has succeeded in creating lot of inconvenience and fears in the minds of tax paying honest citizens , small traders  , small cash keepers for emergency expenses ,farmers and daily wage earners by the  demonetization of high value currency notes and wiping out the  “black money” from these sections . Will he now,  continue this war against  black money with the same vigor and vitality by stringent monetary , fiscal and economic measures on the various mafia groups connected with land, real estate, mining , sand , drinking water , distribution of cash for votes , higher education , gold smuggling ,havala transactions and the  corporate houses bribing politicians and political parties in the form of huge donations and the corrupt bureaucrats ? It is very pathetic to see the visuals in the electronic media in which humble and law abiding citizens who are sweating out in the serpentine queues day in day out , for the whole week  ,  before the bank counters and  telling  sincerely ,  those who interview them that, they do not mind the hardships,  since it is in the interest of the nation . Can we fool all the people all the time? How many of those harmless citizens know the details of the Reddy brothers family wedding and how many of the VVIPS of the nation and particularly politicians from all the major parties attend that wedding ? This is only a sample of what stringent measures to unearth black money from big fish , are going to be taken immediately after the surgical operation on common people .
